Gundam Room: The beginning

I haven't really got the time into gunpla again since married. And it's really burning inside XD
Anyway I moved to new house for my marriage life.. and since I got no (real) babies at the moment, I can have one room dedicated for my "babies" :p We call it, "Gundam Room". Yes, my wife calls like that also hihi..

Still filling the space only, nothing like fancy illuminated glass board :P So I'm keeping all my collections here, Gundam & Manga that is.. Well I do my coding work in this room as well.. But..must..start..gunpla-ing..also...

Till next time, from Gundam Room! ^^/

A Little Sweetness... 3

Haven't got time to finish the little green dwarf on the last post,
so I'll just dump some photos I took with my not-so-new gear
Enjoy ^^!

 Aigis: "Me again?"
Me: "Be proud, you're the appetizer" ^_^

Peek-a-boo

It's been a long time since I took Kan-U out from her box.
She still georgeous, maybe the first figma with semi cast-off ability,
but her smaller scale didn't fit with my other figmas.

 Dead Master
Her unique hairstyle captivated me,
unfortunately, her stiff skirt restrict her legs movement.

No licking face this time ^^

 Black Gold Saw
I believe this is her first appearance in this blog?

Onee chan wants you!

Well... let's stop being scarry ^^

She's quite pretty, and has a good range of articulation

One more with soft filter

Her stars and stripes motif reminds me of uncle Sam's flag.

Of all BRS line's characters, I think she's the oldest one.

Miku Append
The 100th figma, came with mini headphone as a bonus. Didn't open it yet.

I like her softer color scheme and 'alternate' costume.
She came with normal faces with big eyes like the previous Mikus,
but I prefer this smaller and sharper eyes ^^

 Revoltech Alien Warrior
A little sweetness...NOT

Bandai's MG 1:100 Sinanju
His 'candy-tone' colors are sweet ^^

STR: "Care to give me a hug?"
My latest figma of BRS series.
She's small, but the hands can compensate that ^^

Testing several art filters.
Soft focus is my favorite, which one yours?

The Green Dwarf

 "BB Senshi SD Gundam Kshatriya,"
got this little guy weeks ago. My very first SD grade gunpla ^^.
Actually, I don't quite fond with SD designs, except the Sangokuden series.
IMHO they looked childish or too cute. Then why I picked this guy?
Maybe because he (she?) has relative smaller head than other SD out there, not like that "hydrochepalus" tiny gundams. It helps to keep the "menacing" look without loosing it's cuteness.

The box contains three runners, three PC runner, stickers, manual sheet,
and something like a glass coaster with ZEON emblem on it.

 Runner A
Contains almost all of the Kshatriya's body parts.

Runner B
Contains the wings and head parts.

Runner C
Contains several body and wings parts, also Loto parts.
(Geez, that Loto looks very simple.)

The PC parts, foil sticker, clear sticker, and glass coaster.
( I think the glass coaster is a kind of bonus for the first batch product?)

Head and body parts

 Head and body, assembled.

Hands

 Legs and waist

 Wings
No funnels there... -__-

 Ready to 'gattai'  ^_^

Completely assembled! Front side.
No stickers applied yet. Plain out of box.

 Back side
Those 'back collar' reminds me of Zeta design.

See the difference between the artwork and the out of box (OOB) kit?
He/she really needs a lot of color detailing.
I don't like the stickers, maybe I'll try to paint him/her later.

That's it! My first SD Gundam ^^
Cutted, cleaned, and assembled in 80 minutes at a sleepless night last weekend (on my bed)
I thought SD Gundams are for childs, but with this minimum details and colors, I changed my mind, hahaha.

Gunpla Tools Shopping

This weekend I had to go shopping for 'pulang kampung' next week.. So it's a chance for a visit to the gunpla store! ^^/ Here's what I bought:

Tamiya File set (for sanding)

Plastic cement for seam line removal

Weathering Kit

Thinner

Mr. Hobby Mr.Base White 1000

Black Color
I tried the tamiya file, and it's really convenient *throw away sanding disc* ^^ Use it for initial sanding.
I meant to buy Tamiya XF-21 Flat base for mixing with future to produce glossy top coat, but instead I bought Mr.base white 1000 -_- So I red some articles about base white 1000 and turn out it's good for priming and surfacing (mixed with thinner), read from here and here. Maybe I'll try someday :)
Bought black spray paint for Seravee when I do seam line removal on the kit. And for the weathering kit, hehe I'm saving for the future. All of this are worth of a 1/100 NG gunpla ^^;;

AND THIS WEEK WORK LOG, I did seam line removal practicing on RX-78 03 legs. Here's the result:

The right is ok, but left one failed. I tried with unknown plastic cement from Ace's hardware, turned out it doesn't melt.
Better stick with Tamiya/Mr.Hobby cement
Both are ok :) My sanding skill (or patience) still not good enough, scratches still noticeable :(
Seam line removed and primed! :D They say model kit look great in prime, it's true ^^
Notice, I didn't do sprue cleaning (lazy me) :p

What's happening to me? I'm changing..

My legs!?! what they've done to my legs!?
The shoulder have been primed and painted. It doesn't look like plastic anymore,
but it doesn't look like made of steel also. It's gritty, looks like made of clay or stone.
Is it the primer? I need to try different primer to find out.

That's all.. I'll be busy next two weeks, marriage preparation ^^
